Photography exhibit review instructions

Visit a museum or gallery to see one of the exhibits linked here. Write a review 1- 2 pages long. An exhibit review is a type of essay. Use standard paragraph structure, starting with an introduction and ending with a conclusion. Check your grammar and spelling.

Include the title, location, opening and closing dates.

• Explain the main theme or purpose of the exhibit.

• Describe at least three images that were striking to you. Explain why

  you selected them.

• What did you experience from visiting the exhibit that you couldn’t have

  learned from seeing these photographs online?

• Do you recommend the exhibit to other NOVA students? State your

  opinion directly. There is no right or wrong answer. Just be sure to give reasons for your opinion.

  Since this is a writing assignment, you will not receive credit for including images from the exhibit. The challenge is to use language to communicate what you saw. Bring a printed copy of your review to class.
