Richard works at Murray Marine and is an avid diver.  He comes to your office because he has an idea for a palm sized sonar device.  The device provides a 3-D view of a wreck or cave dive site.  What are the four basic requirments for patentability? What are the chances of Richard obtaining a patent for the device?

Write between 750 - 1250 words (approx 3-5 pages) using Microsoft Word in APA style.

Include a cover page and reference page.

Use at least three references.

Cite all reference material (data, dates, graphs, quotes, paraphrased words, values, etc.) in the paper and list on a reference page in APA style.

References must come from sources such as, scholarly journals, CNN, online newspapers such as, The Wall Street Journal, govt websites, etc.  Sources such as, Wikis, Yahoo Answers, eHow, blogs, etc. are not acceptable.
