Individual final paper(business)(pick a company)(prefer Chinese well known company)

INDIVIDUAL FINAL PAPER & PRESENTATION: (30%) Pick a topic that you’re interested in regarding any of the topics we discussed during class. You are required to find someone in an organization (preferably an HR or OD practitioner) to interview about this topic. You are to interview this individual about the issues and initiatives around this topic. Support your findings with course readings in addition to articles outside of course readings. You are required to include at least 5-8 sources. NOTE: TOPIC NEEDS TO BE DIFFERENT FROM YOUR GROUP PRESENTATION. Your paper should be 10-15 pages in length. You topic needs to be approved by me by November 5th. Some key questions to answer in preparing both your presentation and written summary should include: i. What are some of the business issues impacting this organization? (Provide a case summary of the business issue/s). Tip: You can present the case to the class and facilitate a discussion and present some of your findings and outcomes based on your research/interview. ii. What are some of the initiatives/programs/services/etc. that the organization implemented to address those business needs? iii. What are some of the models and theories that can be used to implement this initiative? (Refer to at least 3 models/theories). Please elaborate and cite course readings as well. iv. What are the implications for leaders, employees, customers, and the organization as a whole? v. What are the results of these initiatives (policy/programs/intervention/services/etc.)? vi. How were they successful or unsuccessful? What are the metrics that the company uses to address this? vii. What were the company’s lessons learned? viii. What are the factors (risks/obstacles) involved with ensuring the success of this initiative? ix. What are the benefits for employees and organization? x. NOTE: THIS QUESTION IS NOT TO BE ASKED TO THE INDIVIDUAL YOU ARE INTERVIEWING. What did you learn by studying this topic? xi. What does it mean for you and your future career?
