Writing Assignments:

Please complete the "Syllabus Quiz" (available below under "Week 1 Assessment") and submit it to me prior to the deadline (9:00 p.m., Sunday, September 25th).  When you finish that assignment, you may access and begin working on your Study Guides (Guides #1 and #2) for Chapters 13 and 14 (located above under "Reading/Viewing Material") - Please answer each of the Study Questions and define each of the Study Terms (please note that while most of the Study Terms can be found in your textbook, you may occasionally encounter a term not found in the book; therefore, you are encouraged to use additional sources - such as an encyclopedia - to identify study terms).  Please contact me if you have any questions concerning the Study Guides or the Reading Assignments. 

In addition to completing your Study Guides, you are encouraged, but NOT required, to complete the practice tests at the end of Chapters 13 and 14, as they, along with the Study Guides, will help you to prepare for the first exam.  The practice tests are for your benefit, and like the Study Guides, you do not have to submit them to me for grading.  For Chapter 13, only answer questions under the headings "Resurgent Monarchies," "Europe's Global Expansion," and "Exploration, Expansion, and European Identity."
