Once again you are back visiting your friends from Bunker Books. As an e-commerce expert you will be doing some research and giving advice to the husband and wife team that have owned this company for 20 years. After you helped them with an e-marketing plan and developed their social media campaign, you are now called upon them to help with collecting payments online and securing their website and database.

You are an e-marketing and e-commerce consultant. Mary and Joe Johnson, the owners of Book Bunker have hired you in the past to help them improve their sales both online and in their store. Now they need help developing an e-payment system and securing their database. They have asked you to create a plan to collect payments via their website and ensure that the transactions are safe and secure. Welcome back... again! Once again, you were right on with your advice with the social networking program. My husband is now addicted to Facebook and he tweets about our stores upcoming sales and promotions all the time. Thanks for such an insightful report. As you may have heard, we had a slight problem with our payment program. Customers have been complaining that we only accept payment over the phone. When we built our website, we didn't think it would be that popular... and we never thought we would sell that much online. We know we are losing sales. Hi again! My wife must have told you all about our problems with collecting payments. I think we are losing sales... because who wants to go online, find a book and then call the company to ship it. It clearly makes no sense. Of course you know that. We never thought we would have that many sales online, we just wanted to website to ensure that people who lived in our city knew about us. I always knew that our rare book collection was famous... but never thought it was world famous! Anyway, we need your help again. We would like you to research our payment options. Mary and I would like to have several options to choose from, so if you could find at least three different ways our clients can pay online that would work out great. In creating that list, we would like to see the advantages and disadvantages of each e-payment system. Perhaps a matrix summarizing the various systems would be very helpful. In addition to the e-payment system review, please be sure to give us security suggestion that we can deploy on our website and e-pay systems to secure our database and our client's transactions.
