Persuasive Speech 

The topic must reflect the Chicana/o Latino Experience in the local and global society (About ecnomic situation) 

Requirements:

1.      Three sources

2.       Outline plus Citation page in a file (minimum 2 pages plus citation)& the whole essay in seprate file (minimum 3 pages plus the citation)

3.      Sources cannot be older than 10 years

Introduction

    1.   gain the attention and interest

    2. the purpose or thesis of the speech must be clarified

    3.  preview the development of the topic

    4.  to influence or motivate the audience to accept the topic favorably

Body

1.     claims supported by verbal materials? Using statistics, facts, figures, examples, illustrations or testimony?

2.    the evident and supporting materials relevant have to be recent and reliable?

3.     the sources have tobe cited credible and recent

4.      distinguish between fact and opinion

Conclusion:

signal that the end was coming

   summarize the main points?

   make a final appeal to the audience
