Read the Overview, Prelude, and Chronicle, and subtopics that follow - the entire chapter.

• Each student will select a subheading in Chapter 6 and summarize it following the instructions below (summarize, in your own words, in compliance with the word count).EVERY TOPIC MUST BE COVERED BY SOMEONE.  A TOPIC CAN ONLY BE REPEATED AFTER ALL TOPICS HAVE BEEN SELECTED.
• Each student will select the Prelude OR Chronicle OR ONE of the subheadings 1 to 10  ORany one of the other subheadings that follow, up to and including "The Case Study Close Up." 
• EXCEPTIONS: Items #5 AND #9 are to be discussed together.  "Revolution of Intellect: The Meaning of Upper Paleolithic Art" (pp. 183-184) AND "Earliest Art: Australia and Africa" (p. 184) are to be discussed together.  Example, if you select #5, you must also discuss #9.  If you discuss any one by itself, you will lose 50 percent of the grade.
• All items must be discussed first before you begin to repeat items.  So, when you enter the site be sure to check to see what item is covered before you post.
• The first 15 people to post summaries will have covered all items.  All items should have a fairly balanced number of summaries.  I will be checking the time and date stamp.
