By Saturday, October 18, 2014, post your Final Essay Topic and Internet Searchto the W2: Assignment 2 Dropbox.

This assignment has two parts:
First, in the W2A1 Discussion you proposed your topic for the Persuasive Essay.  Now that you have received feedback on the proposed topic from your peers and instructor, you may want to focus, narrow, or otherwise revise your topic selection.  This assignment provides an opportunity to get feedback on the topic before doing research in Week 3.  If your instructor has not indicated a need to revise your topic, then you can submit the topic as is.

Second, you will perform a basic Internet search for your proposed topic and report your findings.  It is important to learn a bit about your topic so that you know some of the basics, such as what resources are available and how people are discussing the issue.

Submit your final paper in a Microsoft Word document to the W2: Assignment 2 Dropbox by Saturday, October 18, 2014.

Assignment Guidelines:

  1. Present your revised Persuasive Essay topic (see your instructor’s feedback from the W2A1 Discussion)
  2. Go to Google.com, do keyword searches for your topic, and read a few of the sources you find. Then, respond to the following:

a) What keywords did you enter?
b) Which keywords seemed to yield the best results?
c) Which types of sources were you able to find (websites, articles, blogs, etc)?
d) Identify one source that seems the most useful and cite it using APA formatting. Describe what is most interesting and or/useful about the source.

Complete both parts in an APA-formatted Microsoft Word document.
