Some victims may be very upset or even irate. Officers have to approach victims cautiously to gain their trust and cooperation. Victims may then be more willing to provide detailed information about the crime to officers and later to investigators and prosecutors, which, in turn, will lead to the conviction of more criminals.

What steps would you take to treat and injured victim and get them out of the crime scene area?
