Questions

1. Explain the concept of Critical Infrastructure and the evolution and implementation of the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) programs. Define the linkage and differences of Critical Information Infrastructures and their respective protection programs to CIP.
2. Discuss the malevolent threat state and non-state actors and the types of cyber threats they pose to our nation. Include in your discussion the potential ‘impact’ (life, costs, governmental, etc.) of each set of actors against our nation.
3. Discuss Clarke’s assessment that there are five “take aways” from the genesis of the Cyberattacks he outlines in chapter one of Cyber War. Why is it important to understand these take aways and their role in fighting Cyberattacks.
