The gap is that our Soldiers are having trouble transitions from what they have know almost their entire life in the military to the civilian life as for as working.

If we can find a way to help our soldiers transition to where they would be able to cope with day to day situation on the job in the civilian world then we can the analyze what steps need to be taken to help our Soldiers be able to retain jobs with the civilian work place.

OK--determine what the ideal or desired is. Compare to what you have. That's your gap. Select a diagnostic model and a change implementation model to determine causes, develop alternate solutions (some solutions the organization may have no control over--may require outside agency making the decision--but some the organization may have control over--that might not be the best one, but the only one you can control), then show how to implement.

 The desired future state is soldiers who have a smooth transition into a civilian workplace
