The purpose of risk treatment is to determine what will be done in response to the risks that have been identified, in order to reduce the overall risk exposure. Unless action is taken, the risk identification and assessment process has been wasted. Risk treatment is done to convert any of your earlier analyses into substantive action plans to reduce risks.

The Enhancing Risk Identification  article offers a number of suggestions for risk identification unlike we discussed in previous weeks.  Including examination of risk management policies currently in place, an evaluation of the amount of risk an organization is prepared to tolerate and the enhancement of corporate governance and oversight measures over all business plans.
