ASSIGNMENT PREPARATION
- Review Chapters 6 and 9 in the course text Fundraising Basics: A Complete Guide (uploaded as pdfs), and think about cultivation strategies that might be used to establish a relationship between donors and organizations.
- Review the article “Relationship Fundraising: How to Keep Donors Loyal(uploaded as pdf),” and consider how to cultivate donors using strategic marketing strategies. Then think about how the strategies you identified might help to foster a relationship between donors and organizations.
- Review the online article "Launch Your Program: Cultivation Strategies," focusing on the tools and methods used to cultivate donors.
- Use the nonprofit organization: link Young Life for this assignment.
- Reflect on specific donors (e.g., individuals, foundations, corporations, and government entities) on which the nonprofit organization you selected might rely. Consider the motivations of donors who might give to the organization.
- With this in mind, identify at least one cultivation strategy you might use with each type of donor.
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
(1–2 pages):
- Briefly describe the nonprofit organization: link: Young Life and list specific donors on which the organization might rely.
- Describe one cultivation strategy you would use with each type of donor (individuals, foundations, corporations, and government entities) and explain why. Be sure to include how each strategy you described might foster a relationship between the donor and the organization.
NOTE: THE CHALLANGE IS THIS IS A FAITH BASED ORGANIZATION...PLEASE KEEP THE LANGUAGE SCHOLARLY & ACADEMIC THIS IS NOT A RELIGEOUS ASSIGNMENT.
