 n today's digital world, we rely more and more on written communication through emails, memos, texts, and instant messaging. Professionally written communication must not only use proper grammar and spelling, but must also be clear and concise, use proper terminology, and include an introduction, body, and closing. 

 

Assignment

Open a blank Word document and compose a professional memo to a company (can be real or imagined) regarding the following scenario:

A company has committed a safety violation. You are a regional safety officer who must write a memo to the company warning them of the infraction and advising them of the proper course of action to correct the safety violation.

Grading Criteria

This assignment is worth 100 points total. Points will be awarded for the following:

Correct grammar and spelling - 20 points

Clarity and use of terminology - 20 points

Conciseness and flow - 20 points

Includes an introduction, body and closing - 20 points

Includes a recommended course of action - 20 points
