Short Assignment
Discuss how Mr. Kapasi in "Interpreter of Maladies" perpetuates what Adichie calls the "danger of a single story." Keep in mind elements of bias, including prejudices he might have towards others, prejudices others have about him, and prejudices he might not be aware of having. At least two pages, or 500 words. Due by this Friday by 11:59 PM.
Also, by 11:59 PM on Sunday, comment on at least two of your classmates' posts. Did they make an effective argument in showcasing Mr. Kapasi's character as exemplifying the elements of a "single story," or of bias? Where could they have make it better? What did you admire about their argument?
