Complete a full draft of the essay before getting feedback, so review the guidelines in the Essay # 1 assignment before completing this assignment. If you have any questions about the Writing Lab, please contact them directly. Their information can be found here. If you are not able to use the Writing Lab for some reason, please have someone who is a strong writer, such as a previous English Instructor, an English major, or a classmate, review your paper. You may even have a friend or family member who is a strong writer review your paper.  It is extremely important that you complete this assignment so that you have the best chance of correcting any errors before submitting the final draft. I would suggest you have it reviewed twice if you have the time and resources.

After you have either visited the Writing Lab or have received feedback from a strong writer that you know, please submit a copy of your draft and evidence of that feedback. The evidence should be a draft with their comments on it.  Scan or take a clear picture of the copy with the feedback on it, then submit it in this assignment as an attachment.  Please submit the document as either a PDF, PNG, JPEG, DOC, or RTF file. Please do NOT submit it in PAGES file. I do not have a MAC computer or access to one. Do not forget to make the corrections to your essay before submitting the final draft.  I should see a difference from the draft that you submit for this assignment and the final draft.

Keep in mind that the Writing Lab is NOT a proofreading or editing service.  In other words, the tutor may not point out every error in your draft.  Also, bring/submit a complete draft and a copy of the essay topic sheet with you so that the tutor/reviewer can help you with content, organization, proofreading, etc.
