Content Area Resources

1.Complete Tabs 1 (10 tools) and Tab 2 (Teacher tools from Reading) of a google spread sheet on content area resources. MY CONTENT AREA IS ELA (ENGLISH) AND MY GRADE LEVEL IS 9TH GRADE. All of the tools, materials, and resources that you gather should be specific to this subject area and grade level.

2. After completing both tabs of the google spread sheet, you will create a powerpoint on  your knowledge of developmentally appropriate literacy strategies for adolescents in your content area. 

The Presentation should have:

At least two resources with explanations for each of the following:

• vocabulary
• reading 
• writing
• graphic organizers 
• listening and speaking

For each resource, focus on the alignment of the resource to literacy and specific ways to support students. Provide both visuals and written text on each slide.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO THE SCREENCAST PRESENTATION PORTION. YOU ARE JUST MAKING THE POWERPOINT!
