Art Appreciation Assignment

 Visit any local museum or pick a work of art that you have seen and choose ONE work of art to formally analyze, place the name of the art work and identify the elements and principles of art work in addition to providing information about the artist and the style in which they usually create. Is this work done in the art piece that you are analyzing typical of the artist’s style?  The elements of art include talking about the visual components of color, form, line, shape,space, texture, and value of the artwork. It may be two-or three-dimensional, descriptive, implied, or abstract.  The describe the principles of the artwork you must include describe some of the following; Balance, emphasis, movement, proportion, rhythm, unity, and variety; the means an artist uses to organize elements within a work of art. 1200 words minimum.
