1. In this unit, we have discussed the terms anti-terrorism and counterterrorism efforts. In your opinion, what are the differences and similarities between these terms? Consider a defensive action taken under each term to reduce terrorism vulnerabilities within the borders of the United States.  

2.  In this unit, we discussed the terms homegrown terrorism using lone wolf terrorist tactics. For this discussion, briefly discuss an example of homegrown terrorism that has occurred both domestically and internationally. Do you believe that lone wolf terrorism can be prevented? If so, how?  

3.  Who is protected by the Eighth Amendment? Are terror-suspects who are apprehended and interrogated in other countries protected by the Eighth Amendment? Should tactics that violate the Eighth Amendment be used when needed to prevent an imminent attack? Discuss your answers.  

4.  Review Title IV of the PATRIOT Act regarding border security. How can the United States balance the need for border security against the need for continued immigration rights? What are some measures that can adequately secure the borders, while permitting a lawful immigration process?
