Self- Assessment Assignment (50 points)
The purpose of this project is to assist you in identifying your personal/professional strengths and weaknesses and in developing a professional direction for your career. Please approach this assignment with a positive attitude, thinking and responding professionally. For this assignment, type your responses, single spaced. You do not need to type the questions. This paper should be submitted as Word Document, 2 pages, single spaced. You must have correct spelling, punctuation and grammar. Maximize the margins by setting a narrow margin all around and do not include your name, ID#, class number, or my name as they will take up additional lines. You must itemize each of the sections as they are given (1. a, b, c, d) so they can be read easily by the instructor. Five points will be deducted for each of these rules that are not followed. Submit the completed assignment to the designated drop box in Beach Board.

Task 1. Tests and Quizzes Complete the following assessments and write a separate paragraph of 5-7 sentences minimum to address each assessment.
• State the numerical score and summarize the interpretation. State what YOU think about the results.
• You do not need to attach your assessment printouts or results to the assignment.

c) Resilient Quiz. (www.occareercafe.com) Locate #5 on the list of Top Ten List of People Skills. Watch the video and then take the quiz. (5 points)
d) Positive or Negative Thinker Quiz: (www.occareercafe.com) Locate #3 on the list of Top Ten List of People Skills. Watch the video and take the quiz (5 points).
Task 2. Background Statement
Write a background statement. This should include your current situation and your future situation. In other words, academically and professionally.
a) Where are you now, in your life (near graduation, interning or working in field)? (5 points)
b) Where do you expect to go, in your life (ex. Master’s Degree, internship, entry level)? (5 points)
Task 3. Mission Statement Access the pdf titled, 7 Habits Summary in the module where you accessed this assignment. Read Habit 2 to learn about what Dr. Covey teaches about mission statements. Follow his format for writing a Mission Statements and then write your own. The statement should focus on character development and achievements. Five points will be deducted for not following this format. Students who wish to use a different format must first contact the instructor for permission to switch format. (10 points) Even though we realize that a mission statement can take days, weeks, months, or years to write or perfect, think about what you think your mission in life is and write it, based on what you think now, at this point in your life. Task 4. Develop your Self-Regard Definition: Self-Regard is respecting oneself while understanding and accepting both strengths and weaknesses (Stein and Book, 2011). Self-Regard is often associated with feelings of inner strength and self-confidence (Stein, Book, & Kanoy, 2013, p. 55). This term essentially refers to knowing your strengths and weaknesses and liking yourself. Reflect on your Self-Regard by answering the questions posed by Stein, Book, & Kanoy. (10 points)
