KIN 473 CAP 5: Results and Discussion (Part 1)

Results

1. Using the mock data specific to your research question found in Blackboard, perform a gain-score analysis on your sample. Please follow the video example included in Blackboard for a step-by-step guide on how to conduct this analysis. Please be sure to include the table of your analysis results.

2. Describe the results of your analysis using APA formatting. Do not attempt to explain or discuss your findings, simply report them.

The gain-score analysis results illustrated show the different groups that were studied and the gain-score analysis results. The HIIT group was compared with the LISS group. The two groups have similar trend in the gain-score analysis results. In the creatine BP group, there were two groups that were compared to each other. The first group is the ‘Exercise group’ and the ‘Exercise+ Creatine Group’. The Attitude Group had the ‘Sea Level Group’ and Attitude Group’ with each of the two groups being analysed individually to determine the gain score. The last classification that was investigated was the ‘Hamstring Flex’ which comprised ‘Static Group’ and ‘Dynamic Group’.

3. Using Microsoft Excel, create at least one table in APA format to quantify information about your participants (demographic information should be included at a minimum).

The table below represents the distribution of the gain-score analysis among the subjects in the different groups that were investigated.

4. Using Microsoft Excel, create at least one figure in APA format to illustrate your primary finding(s).

Discussion (part 1)

5. Examine the discussion section of the attached article. Make note of the various components that comprise a well-written discussion.

The finding show there is a relationship between body composition and exercise intensity with the strength of the relationship varying based on the level of exercise intensity. For groups that are subjected to higher level of exercise intensity, the changes in test results as obtained through the gain score analysis is higher compared to the changes among less active groups. Difference in time was analysed on basis of ‘pre less post’. Negative time balances were not generated and are represented as ‘######’ in the results.

6. Following the example article, create an outline for your own discussion section below.

Outline:

· Report of the results.

· Overview of the results

· Interpretation of the results using figures

· Discussion.
