Written Reflection 1

Choose two events/passages from the Gospel of Mark and one event/passage from the Gospel of Matthew chapters 5-7; what role does Jesus play in each event? Identify at least one other main figure in each event and his or her role.  What can be said about what it means to be a disciple (follower) in Christianity based on these events?  What about what it means to be human in general?

For each event (3 total):

1:  Describe the event, and the roles of the people involved.

2:  What can these events say about discipleship in Christianity?

3:  What can these events say about what it means to be human?

Responses should be around 1.5-2 pages single spaced, typed in 12 point Times New Roman font, and should have your name on it.  Remember to cite the page numbers and Scripture passages (Book, Chapter, and Verses) used to answer each question!
