show that the Humean theory of motivation is incorrect.
! PART 1: ! Present the Humean theory of motivation
! PART 2: ! Present any one of Schueler's objections to the Humean theory
! ! ! of motivation.
! PART 3: ! Present a response to the objection that you just presented, to
! ! ! the end of trying to save the Humean theory of motivation from
! ! ! that objection

I want your paper to literally have three sections. At the start of Part 1, write ‘PART 1’ on your
essay, thereby clearly marking out Part 1. Likewise, at the start of Part 2, write ‘PART 2’ on
your essay, thereby clearly marking out the end of Part 1 and the start of Part 2. And likewise again, at the start of Part 3, write ‘PART 3’, thereby clearly marking out the end of Part 2 and
the start of Part 3.

I realize that this sort of thing isn’t normal. But this method has its own perks.

Failure to explicitly mark out Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 will result in the loss of one half letter
grade.
