Background

Research and discuss 3 major mergers in the last 10 years. For the first part of your paper, you will discuss the history and background of each company (6 companies in total). You do not need to go into any details regarding the merger at this point.

In 2-3 pages answer and describe the background of each company involved in the merger. Some examples to include in the background:

• When were the companies founded?

• What do the companies sell or produce?

• What are the mission and vision statements of the companies?

• Where is the company located? How many people does the company employ?
