What have you learned so far? (Module 3 and 4 Checkpoint)

This past week we created an outline for the essay.  We will also applied various reading strategies, demonstrated the steps included in paraphrasing, and applied APA style to cite sources.  

 

Hopefully the lessons from this week have helped you to continue with your set-up and completion of the first draft of your essay.  Remember, without sources in your paper the ideas that you present are just opinion.  Resources allow you to share information and ideas as fact. 

 

With this module ending I have some questions for you to answer:

 

Are you confident in your ability to paraphrase?  Why or Why not?

 

Are you now more familiar with the process of research and using these resources in your writing?  How about the process of in-text citations?

Non-verbal Communication

If there difficulty in being able to "read between the lines," so to speak, within the written communication today? How can this extend into the online classroom?  This is sometimes the great benefit of body language and facial expressions from a teacher or fellow classmates in a face to face classroom.
