1. The effect of tectonic plates in a geographical region in mineral exploration and deposition

Based on Duarte, research, plate tectonics like crustal evolution, provides a platform for comprehending the origin and science behind mineral and energy deposits. The correlation between mineral exploration and plate tectonics movement primarily depends on three important accounts. (1) Mineral accumulation forms specific tectonic settings that are controlled by tectonic plates, (2) geological processes taking place at the plate boundaries due to energy created when depositing minerals, and lastly (3) when reconstructing a divided continent can offer an efficient groundwork for mining of new mineral materials. According to Duarte, several requirements must be met in any tectonic setting for the production and accumulation of minerals. Examples of tectonic settings in mineral exploration include deposits at convergent plate margins, deposits at collision boundaries, deposits in cratonic rift systems, and deposits in cratonic basins.

2. Impact of Orbiting spacecraft features on processes that occur on planet’s surface

An object in an orbiting spacecraft is a satellite comprising of earth or moon. States that, the evolution of any planet or satellite is dependent on the initial conditions such as size and distance from the sun. Therefore, the object’s surface on the planet is influenced by three major processes: external process, surficial process, and deep-seated, internally driven process. The surfaces in the solar system lead to multifaceted configurations between the orbital spacecraft features and surface processes. According to (Duarte, et al., 2016), structural geology and tectonic plates play a significant role in determining the models that explain the sequence and timing of development of the first-order geographies of a planetary body.
