System Design and Development
1. Answer all 4 questions.
2. Expected to use scholarly journal articles and generally accepted scholarly materials as support for your answers.

Questions
Q1: Focusing on the first three elements of the preliminary design stage in the systems design process. Describe, compare, and contrast the defining characteristics of sub-system requirements analysis, requirements allocation, and interface identification and design. Please specifically address the flow-down relationship through each of these elements.
Q2: The Preliminary Design Review (PDR). Discuss the role that the PDR plays in the preliminary design stage include a description, and examples, of the main components.
Q3: Focusing on the “Lower-level Design.” Discuss and explain the importance of assembly design and its relationship to sub-assembly design within the scope of informing the Final Design Review. Specifically include discussion and examples of technical performance measures (TPM) and verification for lower-level component specification requirements.
Q4: Focusing on “the role of evaluations, reviews, and audits in systems design.” (1) Define, compare, and contrast verification and validation in the systems design process. Provide real-world examples. (2) Describe the benefits and drawbacks of evaluations, reviews, and audits in systems design. Provide examples from your professional experience and/or case-studies.
