RESPOND TO MY CLASSMATES:
Trainings and workshops could be put in place to help employees with critical thinking and how to adjust to the change so that culture will not have a negative impact on the selection process. The workshops can incorporate culture and shape teamwork. HRM can work with leadership to go over what is expected and what is considered appropriate behavior.
Good discussion. Training is the key. It is important that HR review all qualification of the individual and not just the culture only. Looking at one aspect can actually harm an organization. All things must work together to become a better organization. It is important to bring in outside experts to educate the staff and to evaluate so it will not show favoritism. In addition to having an independent agency working with HR to go over the performance programs, recruiting and selection, training and development, and pay and compensation, company's must invest in their employees to keep turnover low and to ensure employees are feeling valued.
