4Week 2 Discussion Board I

Find a newspaper in paper or online. Choose an article that deals with law. Identify the subject of the article, describe the article in 1-2 sentences, and then tell us: Is the law at issue criminal or civil? substantive or procedural? public or private? (See p. 10-11 for classifications). Identify the source of the law - common law, statutory law, or administrative law (see Ch. 4 for definitions).   Review at least 1 other student's posts and comment - agree, disagree, with a bit of explanation. 3 points.

Week 2 Discussion Board II

Since we are learning about the branches of government, I want us to focus for a minute on the US Supreme Court. Go to this website: http://www.supremecourt.gov/

or any others that you may find and select a Supreme Court decision - summarize the decision briefly (1-5 sentences) and then explain how it might impact you as a business person in the US. It doesn't matter how old or recent the decision is.  Please review at least a few of others posts and say whether you agree or disagree with one other post.
