Adjustments to Management Solutions
In the solutions to the management problem that I have worked to resolve, I decided to make some adjustments, especially on the division of the labor. As much as another person will be trained to take her place, it should be noted that the Military Women’s Association is a grand organization and a new trainee may find it very hard to incorporate all the activities of the organization. In addition, the new trainee may be unaware of the exact expectations and points of contact. The fact that the volunteer who has a problem in organization is to be replaced does not mean that she is going to be kicked out of the organization.
Thus, the older and more experienced leader should be asked to train the new trainee on the tasks of the organization. In the first place, the trainee who is to be chosen should be a member who better understands the organization and this will enable her to work effectively. In order to work as expected, the trainee and the previous committee chair should work together for the best interest of the organization.
The other area of concern is finance, which involves the treasurer. The trainee who is to be chosen to take care of the history and related matters will not be the one to take care of finance. It may be possible that the first leader failed because he was given so many tasks. Thus, in the new recruitment, there should be division of labor. The organization should be treated as other organizations such that each department should have its own leader who is to be directly answerable in the organization. This can help cut tasks and the leaders will be able to work effectively since they will not be overloaded. Overloading may be the cause of not meeting deadlines and if division of labor is brought into use, the leaders will have specific areas to work on and they will be able to meet deadlines.
