Introduction

An entity relationship diagram refers to data model representation that explains the relationships between the various entities, departments, or concepts and how they are linked to each other (Brandenburg, 2016). It is used to describe particular domains of knowledge that illustrate interrelated things of interest. Therefore, this assignment aims to conduct an enterprise relationship analysis in the local community on the Online Ordering and Delivery Service for Sandwich Shop.

Evaluation of data and information flow among the various departments of Online Ordering and Delivery Service for Sandwich Shop

The sandwich company has various departments that include the customer order department, the production department, customer delivery section as well as the sales and marketing department. Information flows among the various departments of the firm and links the various activities and operations to achieve the objectives of the firm.

· Entities in this model include performance reports which include customer service department, production department, and the sales section.

· Attributes that can be observed in this model are order placement, order delivery, receiving orders and setting prices.

· Relationships in entity relationship diagrams are used in understanding the various domains of business as well as clarifying the various business terminologies contained in the business and to link the business concepts with the various structures of data.

· The primary key describes either an existing column which is particularly generated by databases in accordance with described sequences.
