Coursework Second Attempt Assessment Aim Produce a set of 2D-CAD drawings to national standards (BS8888) using AutoCAD software. Scenario You are required to produce a detail drawing for each part shown in Further Information, annotated with all manufacturing data and an assembly drawing with parts list. Dimensions not shown must be in good proportion, use preferred sizes and maintain function. Task You are required to complete an assembly drawing with balloon references; parts list and detail drawings of all parts (BASE, LEVER, PIN and POINTER) with all relevant dimensions and tolerances. You will find full details in Further Information. All drawings must comply with BS 8888 for mechanical engineering technical drawings. All supporting materials, presentations, standards and tutorials in electronic format are on unit Moodle page. Submission Requirements You must submit a full set of CAD drawings (saved as .pdf files) and all AutoCAD 2016/17 .DWG files to Moodle. All AutoCAD drawing files have extension .dwg. The complete set of ‘printed’ drawings must be created as .pdf files. Instruction how to save/print/convert the drawing into a .pdf file can be found on Moodle in the Second Attempt/Deferral section. Further Information The base must be 100mm wide and 130mm long and have 4 holes of 10mm diameter. The pin diameter must be 10mm. All radii R=5mm unless otherwise stated. Note: These sketches are not to British Standards.
