· Types and causes of cancer e.g. Environmental factors, Genetic predisposition / family history, impaired immune system, Viral infection, Factors such as: age, sex, diet, lifestyle; exposure to chemicals, radiation and socioeconomic status.
· Major cancer statistics e.g. preferences, victims, deaths, survivors
Problem statement
· Why are some cancer treatment methods not working
Research questions
· What the study aims to achieve for instance
i. What is the efficiency of chemotherapy in cancer treatment?
ii. Are there other effective forms of cancer treatment other than surgical, radiotherapy and chemotherapy?
iii. What should life style changes a patient undertake when undergoing cancer treatment to improve its outcome?
iv. Do the approved cancer treatment methods kill the cancer cells or do they leave the patients vulnerable to other types of cancer?

Hypothesis
· Informed guess of why the treatments are not working for instance, ignorance of people, costly to keep up the treatments etc.
