Term Paper Requirements: Each student must complete a 5-7 page (double-space, standard margins) term paper (The bibliography does NOT count as one of the 5-7 pages) to receive a passing grade in the course. I prefer MLA Style. Here are the requirements:
1) All students must complete an acceptable term paper to pass the course. (Regardless of examination scores, any student failing to submit this requirement will automatically receive an “F” in the course.)

It concludes with a discussion of the Civil War. Any historical location that has a connection with the years 1492 to 1865 will be an acceptable research subject.)
4) All students must include proof of visitation. (Most locations with charge a small fee to tour their sites. Please retain and submit this receipt along with your completed assignment. In the rare cases where there is no admission fees, please have the tour guide sign and date a piece of official literature associated with the location.)
5) Each student must research and write about the history of his/her location. (Please see the rubric)
