3.) Lyrical Ballads

4.) Mary Wollstonecraft

Part 1: The Annotations

The scholarly sources must be from legitimate journals or well-established authors and should be from 2000 to 2017. Do not use and annotate any reviews . The sources must be argumentative-based essays. You will summarize what each author argues then compare and contrast their claims in a 1-2 paragraph response.

You will divide the annotations by source and place them in alphabetical order. Under each citation should be a 1-2 paragraph summary of the article. Discuss in brief, but specific, detail what each author argues and how the author supports the claims.

What a reader expects for an annotation:

· Clear, specific summary of the author(s)’s main thesis and minor arguments.

· Detailed presentation and summary of the evidence and examples provided by the author(s).

· Brief description of the author(s)’s concluding thoughts and overall purpose for the essay.

Part 2: The Analysis

In a separate paragraph at the end, you will compare and contrast their claims. The entire document should be 1 to 2 pages. (3 pages being the max). Follow the examples posted in Blackboard as your guides.

Questions to answer in the analysis section:

· What do both sets of authors reveal about the study of Romantic literature?

· What is significant about the similarities within the articles? What do the similarities show about how critics and authors approach the study of Romantic literature?
