Technical Requirements for Paper and Power Point Submissions
a) Maximum file size 30 MB (over 30 MB will receive a grade of 0)
b) Microsoft Power Point .ppt or .pptx files only (.pptm, PDF, or zip files NOT ACCEPTED);
c) Drop Box submissions only (no email submissions-no exceptions). Submissions deposited in the wrong DROP BOX will receive a grade of 0.
EARLY SUBMISSIONS ARE ENCOURAGED.
The purpose of this Activity is to present in a PowerPoint various physical and social urban networks, and to gain a better understanding on how important these networks are in human interaction. Specifically, your PowerPoint must depict various types of urban networks
as presented in Chapter 8 of your text
. Also review videos and Chapter supplements for this week before developing this PowerPoint.
At a minimum, your 15-20 slide PowerPoint must address the following:
a) Definition of urban networks
b) Listing of specific physical and social urban networks (on one slide)
c) Photos, maps, other appropriate visuals (minimum of 10) that represent your identified networks (

d) Identify the network component depicted on each slide
e) AND indicate HOW these networks make a city “come to life” (relationship of networks to human lives and results produced as a result of these relationships- humanizing the city).
