There are 3 Steps also A and B to this assignment no limits on length or words.

Step 1. Start by describing the radio or television interview of your choice you observed.  Include a link so that we can see it or hear it, too.  Tell us who the participants are, where and when you saw or heard it, and what each of the participants wanted to achieve with the interview.  Using Hart's guidelines, analyze the preparation of the participants.  Be specific and give us detailed information.   Give specific examples from the conversation to support your conclusions about the relative success of the interview.

Step 2. The second phase of the discussion, (job interviews Describe a job interview that you have experienced.  What kind of interview was it?  How successful was it?  Knowing what you have now learned about the interview process, what might you have done differently? Tutor you can use of yours or make one up.

Step 3. Response to two classmate's posts. Response to the following posts from your class mates.

A) President Trump: An interview on his first 100 days in office. Raul

The interview I watched and decided to share is one titled “President Trump: An interview on his first 100 days in office.” The interview was conducted on a show called Face the Nation on April 29th 2017. The interview was conducted by CBS News’ John Dickerson as he interviewed President Trump on his first 100 days in office. While the interview was expressed to be about Trump’s first 100 days in office, the interview was very off topic at times. From early in the interview, it was very noticeable that there was preexisting tension between the interviewer and interviewee. I believe the interviewer used the topic of first 100 days to throw off President Trump as he was very prepared with questions and points that were not very specific to the first 100 days in office. While President Trump had probably prepared to talk about his first 100 days, he seemed to be able to respond to the off-topic questions thrown at him very quickly and without hesitation.

Ultimately, I found the interview to be unsuccessful based on Hart’s suggestions. While it was meant to cover topics about the first 100 days in office, the interview quickly turned into more of a debate and even an argument at points. The outcome was a pretty long interview with no specific topic. On the contrary, maybe to John Dickerson, the interview was successful and maybe his intent was to catch President Trump off guard.

What are your opinions on the interview?

My Job interview from Hell Bethany

B) I have been self-employed most of my adult life. However, I did on a few occasions considered working for other Real Estate firms that had very high volume sales with a particular interest in the foreclosure market prior to the recent mortgage collapse. I did a lot of investment real estate and went in I believe 2005 to a Real Estate Brokerage who did the highest volume of foreclosures in the area at that time.

I dressed appropriately in women’s business attire common for those working in the industry. I knew who I was being interviewed by, which was the principle broker of the company. I was there on time and was prepared to promote myself as a valuable asset to this particular Company. I had an appraiser’s license and contacts in the building industry as well as local housing agencies which would have save the company money and brought in valuable trusted business.

So, I am sitting in the office after introducing myself and I was asked stand interview questions at first. How long had I been a broker, what volume I did in sales, My other licenses etc. Then out of the blue the questions grew dark. Not just dark but illegal and they were PRINTED on a form I was given.  I wish I kept this as an example of what you are supposed to NOT be asked. One of the questions was. If you are female, do you have any children? If so how many. Then it followed to my complete disbelief a question of, if I have a family, how will I be able to overcome commitments with them in order to work nights and weekends. I about fell on the floor! The form even asked about disabilities, what kind and how it would affect your performance. Needless to say, I told the Broker that I would get back to them. I should probably have turned them in but at that time in my life I was so busy that I let it go and walked away. I wouldn't work for a company that blatantly broke the law like that. Education about interviewing and discrimination is mandatory when you receive a Real Estate Broker’s license.  Therefore I couldn't just chalk it up to the fact that they didn't know any better. It was a terrible experience!

What do you think of this?
