Question 1: Artificial intelligence and machine learning may be the most important concepts you have learned in this class. Describe some of the ways that you think society and culture may change in as little as five years based on how quickly these are adopted by people for a variety of industries.?
With the increasing change in technology, the society and culture are likely to change in many ways. The technology will be able to reach the underserved (Halicka, 2015). Technology will improve the marketing of products and services through different cultures and improve the lives in the society. It will also increase the raising of cash for the goods provided by various communities and culture. Recently, technology is creating capital markets for the community. The technology will also improve the education sector and engage the students in active participation. Many organizations will be using e-technology to run their businesses.
Professor comment: “ok - more specifics would be good too!”
Question 2: As we continue to see improvements in bandwidth, processing power and storage, like costs coming down and speeds going up and up and up, describe how you think they will influence culture in the coming five to ten years -- music, entertainment, writing, education, training, etc..?
Technology will change the education systems. Students and instructors will be able to connect remotely. The educational institutions will have to adapt to the changing technology. The entertainment and music industry will also change. For example, the music subscription boom will keep changing. Some of the music genres will disappear. There will be increased streaming of the music and movies from the internet. The musicians will also have to produce the music according to the technology state at the time. Technology will also increase engagement in arts and participatory experience.
Professor comment: “this is all already happened! Go forward a little bit and make some educated guesses – predictions”
Question 3: Describe a day in your life in ten years - be careful to not just describe technology that is available today, but give some thought to changes and to things that probably won't change?
In ten years' time, technology is likely to continue changing. As the technology modifies, we are likely to alter the way we live our day to day lives (Antonuk, 2016). It is interesting to imagine what the future will bring with the changing technology. I firmly believe that all the things on earth will be digitally connected. Wireless connections will dominate all across the world. Home appliances, cars, and all the workplace devices will be digitally connected. However, as much as technology will bring development all across the world, there are things that technology will never change. Technology will not replace common sense, human touch or stop people from being who they are. Finally, technology will never replace or improve wind power.
