Assignment 3: Biomechanics Presentation Assignment Brief – (10 minutes)
1. Introduction: This should be referenced and introduce the audience to the chosen movement and topic for the presentation. The introduction should also give a clear account of the aims and objectives of the presentation.
2. Phases of the Action: This section should involve images and annotations of the breakdown of the movement. Preferably the images should be taken and analysed by the student.
3. Identify Good Aspects: of the Action This particular section should describe the (good) biomechanics of the particular movement. Comparisons can be drawn from professional models however should be very detailed.
4. Identify Aspects: to improve and How This should outline incorrect techniques of the movement and suggest improvements to be made in order to make the movement more effective and efficient.
5. Good Practice: Include short report on the factors to consider (good practice) when collecting motion data. Also consider the practical limitations/barriers faced when collecting data in the real world/live game.
6. Conclusion: The conclusion should summarise the presentation in a clear and succinct manner, outlining directions for future practice.
7. Questions: Once presentation completed, additional time added for Q+A’s.
8. References: Use References as many a possible.
