Graduate courses are intense and in order to successfully accomplish one goal, one has to dedicate time and effort to the work load. The work load in this class is heave and tedious, so I would advise future students to carefully take into consideration to plan themselves before entering into the course work. In this Legal Aspect of Health Care Administration class, I organized my weekly course work wherein, I would be able to finish all my weekly deliverables before Sunday. In this class, I was able to learn a lot about legal issues within the United States health care system and beyond.
I learned a lot about Medicare and Medicaid services, The Affordable Care Act, health care insurance policies, different health care laws, and ethical behaviors within the health care setting or facility. The weekly readings were very essential for a successful completion of this course and also, the videos that were provided to us by our professor helped us to gain more knowledge and experience through visual learning.
The individual project was challenging, but through dedication, I was able to come out successful. Also, the group project was an interesting one and my group members dedicated their time and efforts for the completion of a successful project. We used emails, test messaging, group portal that was provided by the professor, and even phone callings. Through these different medium of communication, my group was able to successfully accomplish the project. I would personally recommend this class to future students, because the amount of knowledge that I was able to gain in this class was really helpful for my future career.

In order for me to be successful in this class, I used a couple different tools. At the beginning of the semester, I put all of the assignments on an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet included the week, topic, readings, discussion topic, discussion replies, assignments, other, potential points, and actual points received. As I finished an item during the week, I would highlight it green. This helped me stay on track.
Another tool I used was freeconferencecall.com to schedule our group meetings. After sending a Doodle request to the group to find the best time, I would set-up a line. The only issue with using this service is you are assigned a new number every time you use it. This caused some confusion with group members using old numbers and missing the call.
I was not able to find a good way to take the tests. After attempting the test the first time, there was no way to go over what you got wrong to improve the second time. I would just review the topics and the assigned readings before taking the test for the second time, which did not seem to help very much. I do not believe the tests added to my knowledge. Writing papers and completing presentations was the most useful for me.
