how has internet signifigance changed over time?
According to Hodson, “Facebook is used by almost a quarter of the people on the planet” (Hodson, 2016, p. 26).
The Internet has become even more significant over time. The Internet is used by more and more people every day. 40% of the world population has Internet access today whereas only 1% of the world population had Internet access in 1995 (Internet Users of the World, 2016).
The Internet has had a significant impact on the economy. According to Domick, “Experts estimate that the Internet has created about 1.2 million jobs” (Dominick, 2012, p. 131).
How I Use the internet
I use the Internet all day, every day.
I manage a website and electronic communications for my job.
I use social media, online shopping, online banking, and get my news from the Internet.
We have four computers in our home, two chrome books and an iPad.
