In this context, it is a prohibition of people under the age of 18 from being found in public places within a specified period of time

Drive

Moving a vehicle

A curfew basically refers to restricting the time which individuals should be in public places

A curfew is necessary especially when there is a security

Those under 18 should be subjected to legal curfews as well as restricted driving privileges

They are minors who are not able to make the best decisions

They should always be accompanied by an adult

Such a move improves their safety

People under the age of 18 should be within their areas of residence by 6pm otherwise they need to be in the company of an adult

This reduce their chances of being abducted

Similarly, there needs to be restrictions on their driving privileges

Even if they hold valid driving licenses, they should drive under the watch of an adult

1. Under 18’s are at a higher risk of being kidnapped (Mochip, 2016)

This implies that they should never be alone especially in late or early hours

2. They can be tempted to engage in adult activities

When nobody is watching, people under the age of 18 might indulge in adult activities

Under 18’s are weaker than adults, therefore, they are easily kidnapped

They can also make unwise decisions of engaging in activities that will negative affect their lives

This is very likely to lead to accidents

It is necessary to take care of this group through a curfew

For instance, girls are easier to abduct since they are generally physically weaker than boys
