US-Egypt Relations
The United States and Egypt have been in relations since the year 1922. Today, they have achieved a lot due to the mutual goals that have been focused on. Egypt is considered to be an important player in the Middle East’s affairs and therefore, it is essential for the advancement of peace, prosperity, and steadiness within this region. Egypt is located strategically in the middle of the terror network and its war against this vice that has provided the United States a chance to execute some of its actions with the help of the Egyptian’s government. Comment by Mohammed Athaifah: You said achieved a lot. A lot of what ?? Comment by Mohammed Athaifah:
The connection between the two nations has floated and declined further from the way they have been relating in the past decade. Already, Egypt was viewed as a mainstay of arrangements made for it as being the leader in the peace-making process between the United States and the Arab world as well as conflict between the Arabs and Israel during the Cold War era so as to come up with a collaborative structure. Be that as it may, under Presidents George W. Shrubbery and Barack Obama, relations soured over Egypt's restraint in insubordination of U.S. calls for reform an absence of advance toward Mideast peace, and Egypt's own particular declining local stature as U.S. center moved eastbound. Comment by Mohammed Athaifah: Middle east ?
The United States-Egypt relationship is a two-way traffic and it has served them well. This is despite the administration of President Obama sidelining the North-African country which has taken a further step into their structural way of fighting terrorism. This seems to be a major concern for the Trump administration especially after he welcomed President Al-Sisi to the White House. The implications of the relations are that Egypt is viewed as a regional influencer, a vital market, a future friend, as well as a nation that desires peace, then the relations are projected to be improve in the coming future. Comment by Mohammed Athaifah: What are these two ways ?
These relations are very important because there are impacts which are brought about in both positive and negatively ways. To the US, the positive impacts are that Egypt will help in fighting terrorism which is a great deal for them. The United States has interests in the Middle East and the only strategic nation that can be partnered with is Egypt, it therefore means that the two nations have to maintain a healthy relationship so as to advance towards solving the various challenges that face them. To Africa, Egypt is seen as a leader of the Arab-North Africa countries whereby its economy is high depended on. The aid that comes from the Unites States for its military, civil rights groups, NGOs, and research play and important role is shaping the nation’s economy as well as the African continent at large. The negative impact seen from this relation is where some of the US presidents, for instance Barack Obama and George W. Bush fail to embrace the nature of the country just because of civil rights actions therefore, leaving the nation to spearhead the fight alone. Comment by Mohammed Athaifah: What are the US interests ? Comment by Mohammed Athaifah: I don’t understand the point Comment by Mohammed Athaifah:
