A signal obtained from a temperature sensor has a peak amplitude of 2V and

frequency of 150Hz, and is contaminated by noise of peak amplitude of 1.2V and

frequency of 2000Hz.

i. Design an appropriate passive filter to eliminate the noise from the signal and

then use Simulink to show the input and output signals to your filter.

ii. Sketch an electronic circuit that could be used to implement your filter.

iii. What is the peak to peak amplitude of the 150Hz signal after filtering?

iv. What is the peak to peak amplitude of the noise after filtering?

v. What is the attenuation of the noise in dB?

vi. What is the phase shift in the 150Hz signal as a result of the filtering process?
