I conducted my research through online resources since this is the only platform with unlimited access to resources and interviewing various Uber drivers concerning the ethical cultures in their workplaces. The aim of the research was to inform action. Therefore, personal analysis helped in contextualizing the results within the greater body of research. The research conducted had to be top quality so as to generate knowledge that is pertinent away from the research environment with significance that exceeds the collection which has taken part within the research. Other than gathering information from the journal, the main statistical technique employed in the analysis of the data was qualitative research since the data I gathered were through unstructured interviews, open-ended questionnaires and unstructured observations. Moreover, the outcomes of the study were effective since they had effects with regard to policy as well as project execution. The only limitation of the study was the encounter with uncooperative drivers who made it difficult to gather information concerning their organizational ethical cultures. The main objectives include:
· To analyze and understand the culture and climate of the company
· To understand the code of conducts of the company
· To understand the ethical challenges faced by the company.
In conclusion, the implementation of ethics training for managers as well as employees and even key vendors and agents is critical. Additionally, the management should integrate the ethical obligations to the school curriculum. Uber should also reform their internal structures and live up to the global code of conduct otherwise; it is more likely to collapse.
The results and conclusion presented in this study can be applied to understand that the lack of ethical behaviors as well as corporate social responsibility may damage the reputation of an organization and make it less attractive to stakeholders and this could consequently lead to profit loss. Nevertheless, I learnt that a corporation needs first to define what ethics mean; this includes policies and process and codes of conduct. The organization then has to work with internal communications to ensure that the outlined standards are propagated widely, well packaged and are delivered in a positive way.
