Researches are conducted to explain and give new findings for the given phenomenon under study. Various methods are used to collect, interpret and analyze the raw data. Qualitative method of data analysis offers the researcher an opportunity to interpret and understand data collected in a deeper aspect. He or she is able to understand what the reason for a given phenomenon is and how is the functionality of the phenomenon in the research being conducted. The data analysis methods are incorporated in the research designs used while understanding and interpreting the data collected. In using survey design to collect data, I will conduct data analysis with the qualitative methods of content analysis as discussed (Smith, 2015).
Content analysis enables a researcher to make sense out of the data collected. The data collected is examined, categorized, recombined and interpreted so as to be fully analyzed. Qualitative analysis fully relies on interpretation of the evidence gathered therefore it is essential to plan beforehand on the amount of data collected (Merriam, S. B., & Tisdell, 2015). The researcher should ensure that the evidence gathered is manageable in order not to consume a lot of time and energy. Folders and highlighters will be of value during my data analysis as they will enable me store and label the data collected.
From the questionnaire responses used in the survey design, I will code them so that I can be able to recognize the differences, similarities and the recurring patterns in the data collected. The highlighters will be useful in labeling the questionnaires and folders. The data collected can now be easily interpreted for instance by comparing and analyzing the similarities among a given set of questionnaires and the findings recoded.
To enrich findings from the research, crosschecking with the participants during data collection for verification will be applicable in ensuring credibility. Other researchers will also be included during data analysis to bring in their ideas. This reduces biases as different researchers bring in their different perspectives (Radulescu, V. D., & Repovs, 2015). Documentation of any weird happenings and occurrences will also be of importance for explanation in case of emerging issues. Researchers might also want to refer from the study.
The findings can be tabulated after analyzing for faster interpretation and understanding. They can also be put in graphs and labeled well for easy identification. For the research project to be a success it incorporates a lot of teamwork, but most importantly hard work, dedication and commitment should be vital.
