The good thing with indicators in the program is that they give evidence of the existence of some results or conditions. It is possible to tell achievement progress due to the presence of the indicators (Van Dooren, Bouckaert, & Halligan, 2015). This means that the indicators are important part of a result-based accountability system when it comes to the program. The output indicator for the program is human effort and funds injected in the project. The output program indicator is used as measures of characteristics of the target group (the number of individuals that are eligible for the program). Also, the resources, that is, financial and human resources that are dedicated to the program can be measured through the use of input indicator. Output indicator for the program is the quality of services that are evident as well as the efficiency of producing the services. This can be seen from the speed of response to report things that are happening and individuals that are served by the program. The broader result gotten is the outcome indicator for the program. Measuring the results obtained through the provision of services gives a clear picture of the outcome indicator for the program.
Since the program is based the work being performed by a charitable a organization as well as whether its effort are effective in the society, there are going to be two types of variables. There will be the independent variable and dependent variable. The dependent variable will show the outcome of the program (Odin, Odin, & Valette-Florence, 2001). The efficiency or effectiveness of the charitable organization will be shown by the dependent variable. The independents variable is a representation of input of the program. As earlier stated, input of the program are effort (especially from the part of people tasked with various responsibilities) and finances that are available in the program. Various data will be used. There is online data regarding the performance of the organization. This can help when it comes to measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. The data that will be used are those relating to performance of the organization. Also, those relating to services that are being provided will be very important.
The data for the study is easily accessible. This is because it can be gotten from a number of areas and through many ways. There is online data regarding the performance of the organization. Data that will be used can also be obtained through talking to a number of people who are knowledgeable about the organization, such as staff of community members that have helped by the organization.
There are going to be two types of data collection strategies. These are the use of personal interview and observation. Observation as a data collection strategy entails going round in the organization or checking the work being performed by the organization and recording down some information. The good thing with this method of data collection is that it is easy to make use of. Personal interview entails talking to some staff of members of the community. These people can be asked a number of questions directed towards gathering the required information. This method calls for a sample survey. Since there are many people who can be interviewed, random sampling will be performed so to have a few individuals representing the entire groups and interviewing them.
