Copy these questions into your post and answer any or all of them:

In this class, what is helping you learn?

In this class, what would help you learn better?

In this class, how should we implement those ideas that would help you learn better?

Other students post: The thing that help me learn better is having a strict calendar. When I have a strict calendar, I will have to figure out what time I should start studying and having everything ready. For example, I already know that the test should be around week 5 so I should have to prepare it from few weeks earlier.

In this course, everything is reached my requirement, from how we studying deeper through read and commend to other post. The kind of study and how the professor place the question is so good, and go straight to the main point and the hidden hint that the student have to research deeper to understand and answer that question. This way of learning is teaching us to search for clues and connections between topics. However, it would be great if we could get some topic for extra-credit every week that require us to seek for sources by ourselves about the topic in that week. This might be the motivation for us to understand this subject further.

It would be great if we just open a topic for questioning about some rare information related to week's topic or require the high level of searching, this might help students understand the project further and understand the Multiculture subject further.

Other students post: I think the daily session readings are the most helpful among all the materials in the course, because they provide many new perspectives to traditional beliefs and are very informative. At first, it felt overwhelming knowing that we have to post discussions every weekday. However, I think the layout really helped me understand the readings in more detail, since they do not appear as long if I do a portion each day. The sessions challenged me to think critically and in an objective light.

Another important element that I have benefited a lot from the class is the discussion posts by other fellow students. Reading others’ posts and interacting with others enlightened me to look at issues from a completely different angle and provided me with real multicultural experiences since the backgrounds of the students are so diverse.

Apart from reading events in the past or from history, I believe that connecting them with more recent events will help me learn better. Short videos clips and TED Talks are also more interactive and give stronger impressions than simply reading in my opinion. As an international student, I hope to not only learn from other American classmates, but also let others know more about my background, culture, and history so that we can truly build a multicultural experience through this course.

Other student post:

First of all I want to say that I have been enjoying this class and new concepts that I have learned through out this first month and something days that we have been here. All of these new concepts are really coming through to me and are most definitely making an impact. This class is not only expanding my knowledge multi culturally but it also helping me become more organized with my school work and more responsible of my time.

What Is helping me learn in this class is all of the sessions that we have that explain in detail the topic that we are learning, also the facts that there are some videos and what not. What also helps me in particular is that you also link additional information for us to do a little more digging and more understanding. I am very grateful that the class and assignments are posted on Fridays so it gives me an opportunity to have a head start for the week. What I think is very helpful is that we do our assignment in discussion forms because we are able to see the different ideas and points of view that our classmates have and that contribute to our knowledge and learning. I don't think that there is anything that isn't helping my learning in this class however it would be nice to have different activities every once in a while that helped boost up a grade, for example videos related to the weeks topic and a little quiz at the end to see if we understood, I think that would a good way to learn and to get a boost in our grade. (I suppose it is a little like an extra credit because of how simple of an activity it would be) It would also just give us a different way to view things and to learn them.
