Cybersecurity are becoming today’s main threat not only to companies but also to the government. Globally, countries, government and industries have faced many various cybersecurity challenges which call for global, social, political and economic cooperation to get solutions. This cooperation will ensure that the users, owners, the infrastructure and also the agencies are protected from cybersecurity threats which lead to severe consequences not only to a country but to the whole nation. In addition, it is important to have global cooperation because we get information worldwide which needs a lot of protection. Politically, there is need of cooperation to avoid conflicts between countries which will impact to the whole nation. In social status, the importance of cooperation is that, one government cannot be able to manage cybersecurity alone whereby it requires ties between other countries. For these ties to be created to strengthen cooperation there must be good relationship to help the countries implement good plans and cooperate to curb cybersecurity challenges. On the other hand, cybersecurity affects much economic wise whereby for the development to happen globally, the economy must be tight supported by the stability of the country. Economic status is also affected by the information received and gained worldwide which need cooperation too (Bossong, 2011).
Cybersecurity has recently become the global concern whereby every business needs solutions to deal with cybersecurity challenges. For instance, Amazon Company needs support technologically to ensure that there is great protection in and outside the company. Rules and regulations have been implemented globally to ensure that every single country is able to detect and report cybersecurity criminals. This cooperation has been made to ensure that every company and counts has got maximum protection from cybercrimes. This is because if one country or company is affected or attacked, it becomes a problem for all other counties. Cybercrimes have been taken as challenges which need a global response not for one country. Amazon and apple companies are facing cyber wars whereby many attacks have been experienced affecting not only these companies but also all other businesses nationwide. Therefore, there is need to oversee these customers and the information placed in the internet to minimize these crime rates (Bossong, 2011).
In the aim to fight this threat of cybercrimes, various companies and the government institutions have come up with different ways. These efforts are both within the country and also external. Some of the internal strategies include educating the employees on cybersecurity, ensuring network security where the company monitors what gets in their network, use malware protection among others. There are also external strategies like international cooperation where different countries join to solve the issue of cybercrimes. Through cooperation of many countries and companies they are able to come up with more resistant international financial systems to enhance cyber security. In addition there is also formation of partnership among various companies which come together to start a more advanced company where they are able to put in place various strategies to reduce cybercrimes. Various challenges like poverty, peace instability, resistance for change in some countries and other political or constitutional differences make it difficult for the countries to fight cybersecurity (Bendiek, 2014).
Conclusively, enhancing global cooperation is the only way to enhance cybersecurity. Consequently there are some challenges which crop up to hinder cooperation. For instance there is the issue of poverty where some countries cannot afford being in business with other like the third world countries. Another challenge is war and political issues where some countries are always in conflict with others thus hindering cooperation. Some countries are so resistant to change in that they do not allow any outside party to advice on anything which a great challenge is trying to form any form of cooperation with them. There are also differences among countries like constitutional differences which may prevent some countries from cooperating with others (Hunker, 2010).
