Wellness in the society
Introduction
· The perception of wellness and health has for a long been impacting many people in the society. The perception has had some impact on the people whether at personal level or society level. There is now an emerging positive sense in terms of increased preventative care and healthy behavior among many people (Miller & Foster, 2010). Many people have achieved the positive sense through the presence of funding and also the availability of healthcare services that are now easily accessible. The various perspectives that I consider important in the society include; healthy behaviors in the community, productivity, physical and mental illness, self-perceived health, longevity of the community members and finally the social environment that the community members live in.
Impact of Wellness on the Society
To all the members of a society there is the aspect of health and wellness that requires an individual to access the increased preventive remedial healthcare methods so as to maintain the positive sense of a boosted and healthy behavior (Miller, 2014). This makes the individuals with the medical experience such as the doctors and to do research and come up with physiological health issues and social dynamics which helps an individual to know his/her current and future health status and take the recommended medical preventions to the health problem in case.
An individual who has social well-being to have an advantage to the near surrounding since they can easily adapt to the environment and easily socialize with the other people since they are fit and flexible to do it. On the other hand those who are not socially well are not that social and cannot easily adapt to the immediate environment. To improve on socialization, one can therefore become a volunteer so as to contribute to the community positively (Miller & Foster, 2010). By this an individual therefore must tend to improve his/her social status so as to be able to access good food and healthcare services so as to be able to improve and prolong their lifespan and be able to live long.
There is usually some difference in the death rate of the individuals of a higher rank and those of the lower ranks and also the difference in their health status and their adaptations to new surroundings. This therefore requires an individual to stay healthy always so as not to suffer from either stress, low self-esteem as the above mental problems can lead to premature health and in turn a sick nation. With this there is not enough manpower to come up with the innovative ways to curb the problem in question. As a result there is an increased death rate and this leads to a drastic decrease in the population due to the effects brought about by the health problems.
Plan (Recommendations)
To curb the problems of lack of wellness in the society we as human beings need to unite and try to relate to one another. Much effort should be put on interaction therefore making people to fit in the society and grow physically and mentally. Through interaction, the growth of an individual can be put at close watch by the society i.e. the society can help the needy to access proper healthcare, one to shun away from drugs and this can help shape the future health of such an individual (Miller, 2014). Since there is no perfection in the social wellness one therefore needs to have plans and implement them in steps so as to help them be of good social wellness.
Reaching out: It helps us to try to offer friendship so as to be at good terms with everyone and also is able to release stress by sharing out your problems.
Choosing good relationships: It is also of good social wellness as one is advised to choose good company and not to relate into bad habits such as smoking and taking of alcohol as such activities are either stress related or for fun but they greatly affect one’s health hence the social wellness (Miller & Foster, 2010).
The power of communication: This helps us to have a good relation with the people in the adjacent environment hence improving our social wellness.
